Growing up in regional Tasmania, I was fortunate enough to experience amazing fresh produce – having homegrown vegetables and fruit, catching fresh seafood from my family shack and growing up on a self-contained farm.

I was fortunate enough to experience a positive relationship with food, mind, body and nature. It became my passion in helping others to reconnect with their bodies and find their love for food.

After seeing a close friend struggle to find her balance with food, health and movement, I felt determined to learn how to help people with nutrition and their well-being by making it easier and more enjoyable!

After recently graduating from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics and working in the Non-Diet and Intuitive Eating space for more than a year now, I have experienced seeing clients become empowered to achieve their health and well-being goals through Mindful and Intuitive Eating principles!

I am passionate about supporting my clients to improve their health through authentic, genuine and evidenced-based nutritional advice.  I enjoy working together with my clients to create more positive, achievable and balanced nutritional habits and eating behaviours.

My specialist interest areas are helping women with complex conditions involving hormonal imbalances like Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and Endometriosis. I am passionate about helping these women, who are commonly misunderstood by their GPs and other health care professionals. I help them reconnect with their bodies, helping them grow a more positive mindset around eating and caring for their bodies with PCOS. Often clients come to me feeling uncontrollable around food and feel as though they can’t shake the craving for sugar! Through using the Non-diet approach, clients have been able to heal their relationship with their bodies and embrace food freedom.

My other interest areas are non-diet therapy for weight concerns, diabetes, cardiovascular health, functional gut disorders such as IBS, common gut issues and healthy eating advice.

If you are finding it challenging to know what foods work for you and your body – make an appointment to see me today!

I look forward to meeting you!

Sincerely,

Taylor Vickery

I graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science from The University of Newcastle NSW.  I have been an Accredited Practising Dietitian for 15 years.

I have helped thousands of people find their food solutions and am passionate about maintaining people's love of food!

I specialise in the area of Gastroenterology and love the nutrition detective work required to solve peoples irritable bowels, food sensitivities, allergies, inflammatory bowels and food intolerances.

I only use evidence based techniques such as the Monash FODMAPS for IBS and the RPAH elimination diet for food sensitivities. In 2018 I completed the Advanced Training in Food Allergy and Intolerance for Dietitians through ASCIA (The Australian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy).

I have completed Microba Health Professionals Training, which has given me a thorough understanding of the gut microbiome.  I also enjoy working with Microba Insight Health Reports to help patients both understand their results of their microbiome profile, and prioritise their dietary recommendations.

I am a passionate advocate of HAES (Health At Every Size) and have trained in the "non diet approach" for healthy eating and weight concerns.  As someone who spent much of her life yo-yo dieting, it wasn't until I fully embraced the non diet approach myself that I have settled to my healthiest weight, and am no longer ruled by food!

With mounting evidence showing that up to 95% of weight loss diets result in weight gain long term, we need to think differently about weight management.

The evidence based and weight neutral "non diet approach" is best suited to those who have had a long history of dieting and associated problems with body image, depression, disordered eating, or weight regain.

So whether you have a tricky tummy, or if you are ready to never diet again, I can't wait to help you love food and find your inner health, so that you can get on with living your happy healthy life!

Warmest regards,
