Our Dietitians have 15 years’ experience that they bring together with their qualifications to provide high quality Intuitive Eating, non-diet nutrition, gastroenterology and digestive health programs.  

Our experienced Dietitians provide gastroenterology programs for those who may have food sensitivities or intolerances. Whether you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome  (IBS), require a low FODMAP diet, have Coeliac Disease, lactose intolerance, or more, our Dietitians are qualified to provide support, having trained specifically in these areas. 

Our Dietitians are also trained in helping women better understand their bodies, and drop the blame around food cravings, emotional eating or over-eating.  We have additional expertise when it comes to working with those who experience PCOS, Endometriosis and Hormonal imbalances. What is Intuitive Eating?

Intuitive Eating is all about learning to truly enjoy food. It sparks a new positive attitude towards eating that helps nurture a healthy relationship with food and your body. This is all done without cutting out your favourite foods. 

What's the catch?

Unlike diets, there is no unhealthy fasting, shakes, or juices. Intuitive Eating involves reconnecting you with your natural sensations of hunger, fullness and feeling of satisfaction. Sensations and feelings. You learn to enjoy food and develop the skill to eat until you are satisfied: both physically and emotionally. Unlike traditional weight-loss diets, the focus is on your enjoyment of food rather than restriction and deprivation. Research shows people with higher Intuitive Eating skills are happier, healthier and even weigh less in the long term than those who are dieting.  

What does Intuitive Eating look like?

Intuitive Eating focuses on healthy enjoyment of food. That is, eating until you are satisfied, not too much, and not too little. The Inner Health Dietitians will help you reconnect to your appetite, recognising when you feel hungry and when you feel full. With this you begin to enjoy food again, focusing on the food rather than the calorie count, number of points, grams of fat, or your body weight. Intuitive Eating goes beyond recognising when you are hungry and full. You will not just learn to enjoy food when hungry but will understand there are certain foods that feel better or are best suited to your unique body.  It is like learning a new skill – it takes attention and energy to learn Intuitive Eating at the start, but not the willpower that we need to sustain restricted calorie diets. Eventually, Intuitive Eating will be a skill that comes so naturally to you, that you won’t need to overthink your food and body any longer. It truly is food freedom!
